In the US airlines cannot just make up whatever rules they want. If they are unreasonable they will be struck down, even if T&C.
Thats the case for
any T&C in any country, they don't overrule the LAW.
LH, being an European Union Airline have to primarily obey to EU, and in particular German laws. Here on the civilized site of the pond we take freedom of speech and expression seriously.
However a lawsuit might be the next step, and that process is significantly different..
