I am booked on AF0022 from CDG to JFK on October 11 which should feature the new Boeing 777 but when I made my reservations and selected a seat, rows 1 and 9 were shown as blocked off. I had the same situation trying to make a reservation for Delta Airlines DL8747 which is the same flight. Does anybody know a way by which you can select one of these seats?
It's been reported (e.g. by OMAAT) that those seats in the new business class can only be selected by Flying Blue Gold and Platinum elites until 72 hours before departure, at which point they become selectable by anybody confirmed in J. Are you a Flying Blue Gold or Platinum?
