Yeah, I think that was good advice. I did contact them to see what they are offering and they told me the option is AF to Paris and TG from there to BKK. Departs 1.5 hours earlier than my scheduled QR flight and arrives about 30 mins before. Obviously not quite the same level of seat but not terrible. I decided to keep the current booking though and take my chances
