I just woke up to a voicemail from QR that my flight tomorrow QR708 (IAD-DOH) is overbooked and if I want to volunteer to change my plans I should call them. My final destination is BKK. I am booked in J on an AA aaward ticket. It is a one-way award booking. They've already delayed me by 12 hours from my original booking when they canceled the morning departure flight several months ago. So I have no interest in volunteering. But my concern is that since I am on a partner award I might be at the top of the list for IDB. So before I go to the airport I thought it would be useful to have some idea of what my options are if they do bump me. From the DoT's website I see that if I am delayed by over 4 hours of my arrival time I am entitled to 4x the one way fare or $1550. Is that the one way fare I paid (which was miles) or some other fare?

I expect they would just offer to put me on the next day's flight which would mean another day of my vacation lost. But I will look for some reasonable alternative options.
