My stay is starting in one week. I just got an email asking if I wanted to pay to upgrade. $200/night for an oceanfront view junior suite king or $280/night for an Ocean View One Bedroom Master Suite.
The $200/night for oceanfront won't be worth it as it's the same room, but closer to the ocean. The $280 might be worth it b/c it doubles the living space from 600 sqft to 1238 sqft.
It'll be four adults and 1 baby. I'm paying $180/night extra for each of the additional adults and baby is free since she's under 3.
Do ya'll think it's worth it to upgrade? As a globalist, they might upgrade me for free anyway.
Are there rooms available next week for cash? If so, it might be better to just book a second room depending on the rate and not pay the additional $180 per person per night (with the $280 upgrade you're paying $640 in additional fees) . You also may rack up a few additional Hyatt points.
