Have a trip to London and Paris (and Luxembourg for a day in-between) first week of April and getting concerned about the recent strikes. While there is supposed to be a National Rail strike the day we arrive at LHR, I don't think that should affect us and I don't believe Tube or Heathrow express is a part of that. Starting to get concerned about the Paris part, though. We've got the following pre-paid items involving our trip to the mainland from London:

- BA flight LHR to LUX, non-refundable standard Y ticket
- TGV from Luxembourg to Paris in 1st class (a day later) - technically changeable within some timeframe to departure (I think maybe 7 days?)
- Prepaid tickets to Eifel Tower, Louvre, and a food tour in Paris
- Eurostar in Standard back to London - again, changeable up to a point, but not refundable

We also have hotels booked, but those are all cancelable until day before, so not even worried about that. All expenses, including our flights to/from LHR to even get to Europe, were paid by CSR.

My understanding is that there is coverage due to a strike. What I'm a little more unsure about is some of the details...what exactly is covered and what the situation is that might trigger it...for example:
- Tickets to attractions and tours were booked directly with the vendors - those seem to be excluded even if we are eligible for coverage - is that correct?
- Given we are planning to use public transportation to get around (this American ain't driving in Paris...thank you...), any strike in Paris is going to hobble us. Given that, If train from Luxembourg runs, but they are planning for strikes within Paris, or the day after arrival, will coverage kick in?
- Even if train from Luxembourg is canceled, will Eurostar expenses be refunded if that still runs (three days later)?
- I assume the flight to get to LUX wouldn't be covered since that is a different part....even though it might not be worth even going to the mainland if I know the rest is starting to go south

A lot of 'ifs', I know. But trying to scenario plan in my head, and even trying to figure out if I should have backup plans (just not going to mainland, still flying to LUX, but going to Brussels from there, etc.). I assume there is also no situation in which they would cover new flights back to LHR if trains not running?

Appreciate any insight.
