Terminal 1 at AUH still showing signs of wear. We went to the Economy Class UL desk to get paper boarding passes, asked if we needed a lounge pass ('no') then after a bit of a wait in the queue to check in at the Al Dhabi lounge, first question was 'do you have a lounge pass?' but they let us in anyway. It's rammed. I've been in here before when flying BA but last time on UL (Mar-20) I was in a PP lounge....if this is the PP lounge in T2, it now says only available for flights departing T2. So Al Dhabi it is.

Given I have little success with the e-gates at LHR, I had no idea whether the 'smart gates' at DXB would work. Did for me, but rejected my colleague, who had to queue for a human to stamp him in. At AUH just now, the e-gate worked for me but not for colleague who was referred to a human and an exit stamp.
