Thought I would hop on the LIRR to JFK in the afternoon and have a half-decent meal before the flight to GVA to maximize sleep on the plane. Wouldn't really want to stop somewhere on the way just to grab some food. If the proverbial excrement really hit the equally proverbial fan at the F-floor foodwise, there will still be food on the plane. What do you think?
Late reply to this. Yes, the food is really that bad. The drinks are ok (they were never great, other than some Scotches). I would not waste time or stomach space (!) on what's in the lounge. The food on the flight to GVA will be better (I'm assuming you're in F). Re the comment that it's at the same level as the food on the SEN floor, I actually think that the quality/flavor on the F/HON floor is worse (but you have more options, of bad food...). It's a shame...
