If your dates are firm and cost is the main issue, you might forget miles and points altogether and look at a travel consolidator/bucket shop for KLM tickets from a US hub city into PRG and back from AMS... then buy separate, cheap tickets from ABQ/SAT to the hub, or even drive there.
