When I travelled to AUS on the A350 in November, I was amazed how much spare space there was in the lockers. I've mentioned this before, but in J, a lady brought two obvious hold bags and managed to get both above her and the crew didn't notice or care. Above my seat in 5K I'd say 2/3 of the locker was empty.
