I believe calling is now the only way to obtain the PNR. I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago and made a quick phone call.
Happy to stand corrected though!
Edit: these days you can easily obtain either PNR by plugging the one you have into British Airways' 'Manage My Booking'. No phone calls required.
