Also a Ford Fusion wouldn't be bad if available. It's the same car with the Ford Mondeo in Europe, but I quite like the Mondeo , especially if it is some 2.0 ecoboost.
Yeah I have driven both the Malibu and Charger. The Charger feels like a much larger car around corners but it also feels more solid around corners than the Malibu, but don’t be fooled the Malibu handles real well too. I would say it’s mainly the engine as the Charger is more powerful. In terms of interior looks and comforts, the Malibu is better. The Charger interior feels really dated and even though the Charger looks bigger on the outside, the Malibu is larger on the inside from my experience.

I don’t think you are getting any Ford sedans since they don’t make it in North America but I think there are still a few old Fusion Hybrids but they are probably retired by now

I have never driven one, but some of the Hyundai Sonatas look really nice and National/Enterprise gets them in its sports trim. They are FCAR

I rented the Chrysler 300 RWD in S trim last week — it was really comfortable and you should consider it if offered. In the parking lot the steering is really heavy but once you pick up speed it’s a great car to drive
