AA's system inadvertently dumps a bunch of C space overnight and then pulls it back within a short amount of time. But everyone's EF alerts go off and the space is usually gone by the time you can check when you wake up.

The last time AA actually cleared some upgrades then tried to take them back.

SWU / upgrade cleared then reversed (merged threads)
FWIW, I saw this come through EF last night on some flights LAX-LHR that I had been bird dogging. Immediately called to try and book any nonstops +/- my ideal date of departure and no C space was available even though EF triggered C7. ...and I was so excited...sigh.
