As expected, these have all been delayed. However, the easiest 2 extensions are planned to be tendered in the next 6 months. If that process goes smoothly work should start later in 2023.

1) Dec 2022 SRT Dark Red line northern extension, Rangsit to Thammasat Uni - 8.84kms. This can literally be built in less than 2 years as it is mostly at grade.
3) Jan 2023 SRT Light Red line western ext from Taling Chan to Salaya - 14.8km and mostly all at grade. Includes the construction of 2 new stations on either side of the river on the current section to Taling Chan.
Refer to the post above for the history of delays with these exts. There have been further delays as the SRT is resubmitting the budgets to Cabinet for approval. However, whether or not there will be time to approve the new budgets before the govt is dissolved when an election is called for May is doubtful. Still possible that these progress with contract signings in the 2nd half of the year.
