Want to catch a few winks before flight time at YVR ?

"For an introductory rate this week of $15 for two hours, air travellers waiting for flights to Thailand, Korea and Japan can shut out the grating sounds and flashing lights of the airport lounge and slip into dreamland in a futuristic "pod" designed for power naps....

The pods, dubbed micro hotels, offer the opportunity for a few moments of tranquillity in the midst of airport chaos. The company is hoping to convince travellers that a quick nap before or after a flight or while waiting for a connection will enable them to be more productive with their day.

The design is promoted as helping maximize the rejuvenating effects of a brief rest.

A dark fibreglass visor slips down over the top of the grey padded recliner, encasing the entire upper body inside a cone. A soft, grey blanket covers the feet and legs. Acoustic guitar music, alternating with the sound of ocean waves and running streams, covers most of the airport noises. Gentle vibrations awake travellers in time to make their flights and they are handed a moist handcloth to wipe their faces.

Once the service is established, the company anticipates charging $15 for 20 minutes and $5 for each additional 10 minutes." G&M

Note: The article alludes that these pods are in a lounge. Anyone know what lounge?
