But remember that for the occasional traveller, a direct flight to NYC from your local podunk airport has some serious appeal. Plus the SK A321LR has an interesting mix of Business, Plus and Economy which should allow SAS to offer fairly firm pricing, but also offer the possibility to leverage a bit more revenue through paid upgrades.
These new routes may turn out to be a bit of a boon for additional mileage earning and perhaps even EC 261/2004 payouts for some FTers and such types. It sort of depends on what the prices turn out to be for the filed fares allowing connections to get onto these AAL and GOT long-haul flights.
