As for entry requirements, you need to complete the visit Japan website, and would need a boosted vaccination to make entry easy. If you are not boosted, you will need a PCR test in advance. I am assuming that these requirements will more or less be gone by mid May timing when covid gets downgraded to same status as flu.

Generally speaking, the connection time should be fine.
