Given it’s location, half of the rooms will have nice view of the Capitol not to mention the fact that the building has 31 floors. I took the elevator up and took some pictures and the view up there was breathtaking.
We arrived late, and perhaps I should have checked in online earlier, or perhaps this particular suite type are only on the lower floors, but we got floor 6. Complete opposite of what I requested for a higher floor. In any case the room is modern and unique with tons of natural light as it has over a dozen window panels. It is spacious and packed with charging stations and outlets all over. Now, is it functional? Not very. The doors separating the bed room and bathroom are not solid doors so if you’re a couple and one is preparing or an early riser, then the room isn’t very good for that. In addition, despite the modern theme, the window treatments are all manual. That means you’d have to manually lower over a dozen window curtain/blinds if you want the whole room darken.
Service interactions were very limited, but we were met with a pretty cold arrival, and the simple request for a toiletry was delivered with a condescending “There!”
Will we come back here? I’d probably check out other Austin locations.
Living room
Sink open to bedroom. Bathroom door is also glass
Where are the automated blinds?
Lots of windows are nice, but that’s a lot to manually close
Natural light
Lobby

You're either impossible to please or a really good photographer, because your room looks freaking awesome. If you want automatic blinds, go stay at Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental caliber hotels, not Hyatt Centrics.
