Well, I bought a ticket on 2/23/2023. I used my Chase Sapphire Reserve. The emailed confirmation receipt has the “wall of tables” that bedelman’s updated complaint (reply to AS) talks about, so I am now trying to figure out what applies to me since AS apparently can’t be bothered to use the algorithm their checkin system has (to calculate bag fees based on all applicable factors) when generating the email.

As a credit card holder, do I get a free bag?




What is an eligible credit card holder exactly?

Footnote 3 is:

“Includes companions traveling with and booked in the same reservation as the cardholder. Refer to full terms and conditions for more information.”

So nothing about a requirement to actually use the credit card to get a free bag, unless that is in the full terms and conditions that are referred to for my reading enjoyment.

Does anyone have a ticket booked on/after 3/1/2023 without use of the AS credit card to see if that has updated language?
