I have previously qualified for Spire and then Diamond based on points earned and indeed last year qualified for Diamond, giving an expiry of 12/2023.
Everything looks normal in my account so very much hope that there has been no downgrade and the email has been sent in error; I'd prefer not to have to argue with IHG to keep my valid status.
Ditto for me too. Rather annoyed by it in fact as my status was earned by actually staying in hotels and paying cash (though I was greatly benefits by the 2x qualifying points offer that ran earlier last year and I achieved spire by the end of March) rather than any corporate promo or other offer.
My account still said diamond and when I called yesterday (to use suite night upgrade) I was welcomed as a Diamond.
