For us on FlyerTalk, these new routes are probably not appealing (no lounges, no widebody, diminished mileage earning because of fewer legs, etc etc etc). But remember that for the occasional traveller, a direct flight to NYC from your local podunk airport has some serious appeal. Plus the SK A321LR has an interesting mix of Business, Plus and Economy which should allow SAS to offer fairly firm pricing, but also offer the possibility to leverage a bit more revenue through paid upgrades.
