The captain told us that the problem would have been fixed by 2315 but no chance to receive a takeoff clearance. Thanks to the idiots living close by the airport complaining about noise when a lot of them depend directly or indirectly from the airport and pay a fraction for the housing costs.
Exceptional clearances to depart after 23h are only given when the delay is caused by weather disruptions.
