Air France used to run an all-Y small Airbus to Baku, and an airline called Privat Air did oil services for legacy carriers - usually with IAH at one end of the route. I think they even did Stavanger NYC(?). I talked to them at one point as they wanted to do ABZ-US, but then their business model collapsed.
AF to Baku was running in 2012 — wish I could find a review of it. Sounds like an interesting service.
PrivatAir sounds much better. But presumably much more expensive…
