Changing flight- L fare
Our flights were changed to a longer layover and United said we could change if it didn't suit.
we are on L fare and economy light so no changes allowed except for this caveat due to their schedule change.
there are no other suitable flights available that day so we are sucking up the layover.
however! My daughter has since discovered she can't travel on our outbound date.
Do you think United would also me to change *just her flight* to a later date using the schedule change as an excuse?
I know it's a long shot, esp as the rest of us are sticking to the original departure date.
When I log into My Trips it says this: "
Due to a schedule change impacting your trip, you have the option to make a one-time change to your flight(s) at no cost. Your new flight must meet these conditions:
Your new travel date is not more than 1 day before or 1 day after the original dateYour departure and destination airports remain the sameYour new ticket is in the same cabin and fare class as the original ticketYour new flight is operated by United or United Express
This trip is eligible for a free one-time change or refund
Because of a prior schedule change impacting your trip, you can make a limited one-time change to your flight for free."
if its a flat no, is there any way at all I can prevent them cancelling the inbound flight if she skips her outbound? (I would be buying her a new outbound one- way ticket)
Thanks for any advice
