I'll give you a couple of helpful hints....since you're arriving late, you might get to the pick up location (some P-something you take on a tram/train from the airport) - if you see ANY of the other hotels' shuttles there, I would (nicely) ask if they'd drop you at the FFI. The drivers usually don't care, another tip for them. You never know when "your" shuttle will actually arrive.
And if it's your first time overnighting at EWR, when you see the freeways, the endless barbed wire surrounding every business, you will be SO happy you decided not to walk from anyplace.

Home2, FI, SHS and CY EWR all are sited together and their different vans can provide common access for drop off or pickup at Daily Parking 4 (P4) where the Airtrain drops you off. As Eujeanie notes, probably should bring some U.S. bills for tips.
Be ready also for a bit of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in these vans - they go fast and drive like they're from New Jersey.
