If unsure if a FA is trying to coerce or insist on a move, lighten the mood by asking "will I be arrested if I decline?"
any% kicked off the plane speedrun.

In all seriousness, if the seat they are offering is equal or above the seat I picked, it's on the same side of the plane, and the other pax was nice about it, I would consider switching.

If I find you in my seat when I board you'll be met with "Sorry, I paid extra to select this exact seat." If the other pax complains, they can begin their own kicked off the plane speedrun.
