I believe for some time now JetAir have served Hassi Messaoud. I used to fly JetAir (Astraeus) in & out of Bioko Island in Equatorial Guinea. Was a cracking service. Got checked in at LGW by the same people each time. Everybody on the flight had lounge access, check in staff flew down with you. Non stop flight. Full service on board. Even had Bruce Dickinson (of Iron Maiden fame) fly us a few times. Oilfield air services can be funny old affairs!
Yes,the Angola flights had the reputation for the lowest load factors and the highest yields.
Air France used to run an all-Y small Airbus to Baku, and an airline called Privat Air did oil services for legacy carriers - usually with IAH at one end of the route. I think they even did Stavanger NYC(?). I talked to them at one point as they wanted to do ABZ-US, but then their business model collapsed.
