I’m someone who qualified for Spire every year for years, and 2022 was the first year I didn’t qualify for the new Diamond; however my status was supposedly extended through 12/21/23 when I renewed AMB last year.
Just this morning I received a dreaded “Your Membership Status Has Changed” email from IHG, though the funny thing is, nothing is showing as changed when I log in
I received this same email today, implying I have been downgraded to Platinum. And likewise, my status in the app/website remains Diamond.
I have previously qualified for Spire and then Diamond based on points earned and indeed last year qualified for Diamond, giving an expiry of 12/2023.
Everything looks normal in my account so very much hope that there has been no downgrade and the email has been sent in error; I'd prefer not to have to argue with IHG to keep my valid status.
