The Westin is one of the best hotels in the city, if not the best. I stayed there recently and was upgraded to a corner room that was very large. This hotel is quite new. Alot of rap stars stay there when they are in town. So they front desk people say. I found this hotel to be nicer than the Sheraton. The sheraton was made of suites but it was not nearly as nice. It is true that there is nothing around this hotel.
