Revenue

lol! I doubt that's the reason. For all the revenue I send CO's way, the 15-25 companions that I may bring forward over the course of a year more than makes up for them. And if they weren't in them, other Elites/Companions would be.

CO does many crazy things with OnePass, but I think punishing their best customers would be the last thing on their list.

But anyways, back on-topic, I agree with the sentiment above; I'm disappointed that agents aren't empowered to make common-sense decisions. I was talking to an agent who's worked at DL for over 10 years; 10 years ago, the front-line was rather corrupt, breaking all rules and doing "favors" for passengers inconsistently. Then a handful of years ago, they adopted a no-favors/no-waivers approached where agents would be punished (including terminated) if a rule wasn't followed to the letter. But now, the DL agent said they're back to a moderated "old days" where agents are empowered to grant favors/waivers that make sense for both the airline and the passenger. In my example, obviously a glitch was to blame... but unfortunately, the CO agents weren't able to fix it
