I’d echo other’s comments regarding the “red light” district. I stayed with friends in December for the markets and was overall impressed for the price point.

To my mind red light district is over playing it quite significantly, we walked in that direction a few times and whilst there are, how shall we say, specialist establishments catering to men who wish to admire women, they are just that, indoor establishments. The signs point to the type of places they are but unless you go inside you are unlikely to witness anything seedy in the street, we certainly didn’t. There was no open soliciting that we witnessed, which is what would come to my mind with the term “red light district”.
