a data point: I know YEG-SFO flights have had faring issues (since I live in YEG) and UA often can't rebook me on the AC YEG-SFO saying its not valid for my routings to asia (which seems odd to me)

I always just book on the AC site and usually fly AC, I get more PQP that way anyways so maybe just consider them the whole way (their J is great too)
