Breakfast

Currently on the flight and taking advantage of the great, cheap WiFi. Morning started with the captain coming through the F cabin and thanking everyone. Really nice touch. Predeparture choice of water or OJ. Purser came through and took orders by status first and then front to back, executed perfectly. I don’t have the highest status so thankfully I pre-ordered, which I’m glad is an option.

Meal service started with hot towels. Hadn’t realized how much I’d missed them, but man is it nice to have those back. I’d pre-ordered the frittata but there was obviously a catering mishap and everyone who pre-ordered or ordered the frittata got the egg kale pastry thing instead. I was initially a bit disappointed (I’ve had the frittata and loved it, but never had the pastry actually), but was very pleasantly surprised. In fact I may even prefer the pastry slightly. So all’s well that ends well! It came with fruit which tasted very fresh, yogurt, and a croissant which was moist and tasty. A very delicious, filling breakfast.

Bloody Mary was served with an extra bottle of vodka and the rest of the can of mix (not pictured) which was nice. Service has been excellent. Maybe I’m just lucky but I always seem to get very good service out of EWR. It’s easy to come onto the internet to gripe about things, I sure have been guilty of that on here, but honestly United takes very good care of me and I’m grateful for a great crew and a very pleasant flight today.
