Regarding Rocketmiles, of course they don’t care about no-shows. They are a 3rd party reseller, that gets their commission either way. My bigger concern is that quality properties will stop participating, or the amount of points available to earn through RM and BAAH will become significantly less.

Time will tell. I just hope it continues to be a nice supplemental source of LPs.
1. This only matters if that room would have gone to someone else. They don’t offer them that cheaply when close to full.

2. This reply assumes everyone is booking LV fares - there are plenty of great deals in areas that don’t have casinos and don’t use rooms as “loss leaders”.

3. You could just use it properly if you’re going to concern troll. Plenty of us getting 100s of thousands of miles on RM/BAAH without ever booking a purposeful no-show.

4. I just don’t think this worrying is helpful. This thread is already difficult enough to manage when people can’t see their questions getting answered/don’t view the wiki. Hiding the useful posts with dozens of worrying posts about the ethics, etc of “no shows” only further diminishes the signal/noise ratio.
