Disagree here…. $35/night rooms in vegas are loss leaders. With no-shows, it is mostly loss, with no upside. This is not a sustainable marketing strategy.
Regarding Rocketmiles, of course they don’t care about no-shows. They are a 3rd party reseller, that gets their commission either way. My bigger concern is that quality properties will stop participating, or the amount of points available to earn through RM and BAAH will become significantly less.
Time will tell. I just hope it continues to be a nice supplemental source of LPs.
