Not sure why you feel that way - by and large, LH catering and service make Polaris look like Spirit in comparison, the only gap between the products was the seat.
If the LH seat is improved to be on par, or even exceed the current Polaris seat, then United offers zero value proposition when they go head to head unless you’re on a corporate contract or need to fly UA for BIS.
