Had a 2 night, 2 room stay here last weekend and had a fairly positive experience.

Within an hour or so of our last minute booking both rooms were upgraded (full details in the upgrade thread). The first room upgrade was substantial, but for the second room was basically unupgraded, granting us about 50sqft of additional space. Both rooms received a welcome gift of a bottle of wine (same red wine from the lounge) and two bars of chocolate.

When we arrived ~2pm neither of the two rooms planned for us were ready, which was totally fine with us since we wanted to spend the day in the city, but the front desk quickly found one room for us to just drop our bags. We did notice some folks received a welcome drink of champagne or juice, but we were not offered this. I think the front desk agent was more focused on finding us a room, which is fine with me. Everyone at the front desk throughout the experience was great.

The rooms were nice, my partner's mom's room was upgraded to the Executive King room which had a ton of space and was on the 6th floor. Our room was on the 4th floor, and was noticeably smaller than the other room. Our room had a problem with the seals on the window, it sounded like the window was open, and it was quite drafty. We had to keep the heat on to make up for this. Both rooms had problems with temperature controls for the shower- the temperature would be ok, then suddenly it would spike and be scalding, then suddenly be cold. After reading reviews on Google Maps this has been ongoing for a while.

Lounge was ok. The views were fantastic. When we arrived at 4pm there were ~10 uncleared tables from breakfast. This unfortunately was a trend throughout the stay. There was just no priority given to keeping the tables clean for new guests, even during active dining hours. Food was substantial, but low quality cafeteria food. Bacon completely burned, and eggs were quite horrible. A massive downgrade after a week at the almost luxurious Geneva Marriott, but this wasn't too much of a problem as we ate out most of the time.
