The flight showed up in my Alaska profile right away, but it wouldn't let me cancel it online and said I had to call in for that. Upon calling in I was told that the reservation was made, but that it wasn't fully paid for yet, so they couldn't cancel it. I know there's some GDS/booking functionality to allow an agency to make a booking and pay for it later, any idea how long that would take? I'm afraid Chase won't actually pay for it up until after the point where I can refund it through Chase (24 hours) I don't want to be stuck with a ticket in limbo.
I don't think this will work. If you cancel, then the credit will go back to Chase and it will be on file with them and then you will have to call Chase to use the credit. It will not just go into your Alaska travel bank at least if it works the same way as booking other airlines through Chase that I have seen.
