I think asking any Platinum concierge to pull a rabbit out of the 2 weeks before New Years' is truly asking for a Christmas miracle. Any other weekend you could justify, but New Years'? Most people make New Years' plans months in advance and I would imagine that any special requests for tickets, especially in a location such as London, would be hard to come by. Chances are you were trumped by every other Plat that decided to go to London for New Years' and planned slightly ahead. Try the Plat concierge next year in October/November and you will have different results.

With respect to the restaurant, I specifically indicated my difficulty in getting reservations in London and gave a few restaurants as examples. I didn't ask if the hotel had an outrageously priced dinner.
On the tickets, I thought the whole point of a concierge was to get you things that you couldn't do yourself. Like find tickets to a sold out show. If it weren't sold out, I could have ordered them myself online much faster than talking to the concierge. Not to mention that I was finally able to find tickets online for the play at a small premium to face value. That is what a concierge is supposed to figure out how to do.
Otherwise, what is the point in having a platinum concierge?
