These days I always make sure I have a bottle of water and some snacks in my carryon because even Southwest pulls the "flight is too short to do any service" thing on a recent LAX-LAS flight (but you get water service on a shorter HNL/OGG... one wonders), even though the flight is smooth the whole way. You never know!

On LAX/SFO, I got more service on SkyWest than Alaska mainline. On Wednesday, I did a same day roundtrip between LAX and SFO. I flew AS outbound and UA return. I was impressed with UA. In economy, United offers a full beverage service in Y, while Alaska only manages water in Y. Given both flights are 7M9 with similar F/As arrangement. One wonders! The weather is similar as the flights are just hours apart. United actually makes more money because they sell alcoholic beverages too. There are quite a few takers.

But as of this point, I will report every single thing to Alaska Listens. I don't think they are listening but want them to to know that we notice things.
