While I respect your faith in your colleagues, I disagree with your conclusions.
With respect to the restaurant, I specifically indicated my difficulty in getting reservations in London and gave a few restaurants as examples. I didn't ask if the hotel had an outrageously priced dinner.
On the tickets, I thought the whole point of a concierge was to get you things that you couldn't do yourself. Like find tickets to a sold out show. If it weren't sold out, I could have ordered them myself online much faster than talking to the concierge. Not to mention that I was finally able to find tickets online for the play at a small premium to face value. That is what a concierge is supposed to figure out how to do.
Otherwise, what is the point in having a platinum concierge?
