And making more premium hotel bookings through AmEx FHR.

Plus, I've been redeeming at 2.8 cents per over the past year making the everyday spend one of the highest available. Of course, ymmv depending on what you're able to find redemptions for. But for me, this is one of my go to cards.
My annual fee just posted, and I have been close to canceling the card so many times, but several times over the course of the last few years some sort of targeted spend bonus has made the card more appealing.
The 1-4 cert has certainly covered the cost of the AF, so my main reason for cancelling the card would be to simplify the “fleet” of cards and to be ready if Hyatt/Chase were to ever offer a good signup bonus again.
I don’t stay at Hyatts enough to make status a realistic goal, and so the qualifying nights credit isn’t worth anything to me.
I will call within the next few weeks to see if Chase is willing to waive the AF. This deval of the 1-4 cert and points in general will be an argument.
