Urgent Help Please. Facing major obstacles flying home via the US from Cuba
I am Dutch and have recently visited Cuba for a few nights. I was due to fly HAV > MIA > MCO > LGW > AMS on a mix of BA and AA. When I attempted to check in at HAV I was denied boarding by AA as they only allow US Citizens to fly HAV > MIA. They advised me to fly to SDQ (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and then fly from here to MIA. When I arrived in SDQ I have now found out that I might not be able to enter the US on an ESTA because I have recently visited Cuba. My flight from MIA > MCO > LGW is tomorrow night and on a single ticket. I am thinking I probably need to reroute, but I would like some advice on what people think I should do about my BA ticket? Is it worth calling and advising of the issue and seeing if they can reroute me? Or give me flight credit? I am booked in Y.
