Simple. Duty of care (which is apparently given) and 600 Euro EU261 compensation for the delayed arrival at AMS. But in June 2022 they had dozens if not 100s of flights with problems due to the chaos at European airports, and my experience is for that period they try to dodge the compensation by all means they can (claiming bad weather, and so on, where weather reports for the day show nothing special). This case is much more difficult to dodge, the technical problem obvious in the news and responsibility of the airline, so indeed curious if here people get their claims paid quickly or not.
