You should be able to pick your seat on JL immediately. I guess your OW status opens the whole (or most) seat map. However, some of those seats (usually window seats) are still blocked by JL. Try to pick aisle seats to see if it is "stick".
It lets me pick but then errors out when I click the "set" button regardless of aisle or window ( in J)....I'm sure I can call JL and have them assign the seats I want. Do they have a chat feature like AS?
