Will be interesting to see if the property actually complies going forward, as they may think it'll be easier for them to pay off the few who complain than to properly offer elite breakfast for everyone. (Considering they used to offer complimentary elite breakfast and the Bonvoy requirements have not changed, this was undoubtedly an intentional move by someone in charge at the property and not a misunderstanding.)
In the meantime, probably best to avoid this property for cash stays.
I imagine given how poor the breakfast was and the limited hours, plus the abundant options nearby, there was a high breakage rate. Given that 3 TA reviews since January 2023 now raise the issue, and the negative coverage that will now be here for eternity, im not sure they will come out ahead from if they offered fifty-cent muffins to guests. Given that the reviews on Google and TA have started trending much more negative than they previously were, I wonder if there is new management that is making these penny pinching decisions (and also encouraging hostile responses to guests who complain). I noticed that the format of responses to reviews changed in January 2023.
