The two people that actually contact the venue you are interested in are two of the most experienced and competent people in the Starwood Preferred Guest Customer Contact Center. I would lay odds that you did not deal with either of them directly, but had your request submitted to them either by another Platinum Concierge or a Special Member Services member. If that is the case, perhaps your restaurant request was not clearly stated to them so they could do their best work?

That being said, if there are no tickets for a sold-out show, there are no tickets for a sold-out show. They use all the hotel concierges in New York City as a source as well as some others, so it seems safe to say that sold out means sold out for real in this case. I mean, the fact that they took two days to research the possibilities and get back to you shows that an effort was made, no?
