I live in CDMX so went and visited the hotel shortly after it opened. Told them I was Globalist, and they even agreed to show me a suite. Room was nice, but nothing out of ordinary.
Like some have said above, it's not a spectacular by any means. I've been to some Andaz-es that feel genuinely upscale, this does not.
The Mondrian thing is all...awkward. They told me the Andaz was going to be a Wyndham first...but then one of the parts backed out or something like that. It was meant to be a two-hotel complex focused on art.
Condesa is cool and all, but unless you can get it for a great deal, I wouldn't stay here yet.
Will check out how the Insurgentes property is doing too.
