Despite the impersonal, not particularly apologetic tone, this makes clear that the hotel is absolutely on notice that how they were treating elite guests was improper, and I encourage anyone who stays here despite the inhospitable staff to invoke this email and the elite benefit guarantee should you encounter hostile staff like I did.
I'm glad that Marriott (obviously) forced the hand of the hotel in your favor as they were not going to back down easily.
