Related to this, I am planning a family trip to Colombia in the Spring, BA flight numbers mostly operated by IB. Pleasingly the prices in business have dropped quite a bit, maybe due to the sale. There is a single hotel option avail when looking at adding a hotel during the booking process which would turn it into a holiday booking. As an additional bonus, the new part-pay with Avios for holiday bookings is a much better rate than for flight-only, effectively making the incremental hotel cost £280 for a combined family 1080 TPs.

I believe this would qualify for for double tier points as it would be BA flight numbers and tickets.
There's a chance our plans will change to visit family in a different city, so may not use the hotel. Would it still earn double TPs if so?
